English Style Thumb Sticks - When your walking you hold these with your fingers gripping just
under the head with your thumb resting in the notch. When you walk up an incline it gives you more down pressure
and so you get a little more lift. In the future I will have a Lyre style and a limited supply of natural Ys made from
sticks that have 2 small branches that form the y. I have been told that they are usefull in holding a fishing pole during
a lazy afternoon of fishing. The hight should be about arm pit high. This is to rest on while having an ale at the pub. I
will have better quality photos in the coming weeks. These
photos are presented to help you understand the looks of each style of handle. The canes pictured are either sold
or in the catalog. There are several canes of each style that will be offered in the catalog section in the near future. For ordering a custom cane please go to our contact page and I will call or e-mail you for your details.

Original hunting
stick - The small board you see on the side slides up and down. When you lean the stick against a tree you can slide this
up or down to be a platform to shoot from. It does have an o-ring you roll up to just under the hole to keep it from sliding
untill you have your gun resting on it. Once the weight of the rifle is on the board it is locked in place.

Whale tail
hunting stick. This is a refinement of the old style hunting stick. the greater depth in the head allows the rifle to settle
to its own depth. This way it does not shift back and forth and is a more stable platform. You can also order the sliding
platform to use on this model. I do line the head with rubber if requested.
