We have two sizes of shank dowels at the present time. They are similar to Birch or Ash. They can be stained or painted according to the look you want. Besides our supply of dowels we now have Ash, Chestnut and Hazel sticks I have imported from Scotland. They are straight with a slight taper and about 50 inches long. Some of these are a little thicker at the top. They are 1/8th to 3/16th wider than the standard 1 1/8 inch, so let me know if you have a special need and I will try to accommodate you.
